Sometimes life throws us a curve-ball. Through all my ups & downs in life, @ 39, I'm still learning that when it rains lemons, make lemon-ade and not tequila shots. So, the other day, I did just that. Hopped into a car with Caitlin and ventured onto the open road. I always wanted to do a spontaneous girly road-trip..think it was No.16 on my 2012 list of 100 things to do. Yes, I had one of those and it worked very nicely too. Will share soon for 2013! While I sat outside our hotel room in the early morning watching the clouds lift off the mountain, I felt a little low but a whole lot of GRATITUDE: GRATEFUL FOR the car that got us safely to our destination GRATEFUL FOR the money that afforded us the accommodation GRATEFUL FOR the tranquility GRATEFUL FOR the time I got to spend with Caitlin GRATEFUL FOR the memories we made - just the 2 of us GRATEFUL for the laughs we shared GRATEFUL for the bond we made stronger I sat a little longer and then realised what I am GRATEFUL for most of all - FAMILY
You see, FAMILY help you squeeze the juice out of the lemons; They help you find a jug to hold the juice; They help you stir; & most of all, They make sure that you never drink alone. I AM BLESSED & GRATEFUL FOR MY FAMILY XOXOX |
