Wow! Am I happy to see the arse-end of 2014!
As many of you know, 2014 was not my "quietest year" to put it mildly.
I received the opportunity to work in Ghana and unfortunately, that meant Angels & Cake was placed on the back-burner (whoever said women could multi-task?). I cant believe my last blog post was more than 2years ago! Oh Hell No!....but back to Ghana (grab your cuppa tea now!)
Early in 2014, I kissed my children's faces, hugged my mom and snuggled by hubby & took a leap of faith into the unknown. I had this experience for on-off 8mths but if felt more like a decade of learning's, challenges, triumphs, making new connections,& of course...drum roll.....disappointments!
Within the blink of an eye, I returned home to my family reeling from the unexpected, unscheduled turns of events. Quickly & suddenly my world turned upside down. I was teary, exhausted, lost inside and being the Leo I am, full of fiery anger. My claws were out!
Days led to weeks where I sat and analysed "Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda, Blah blah, Blah! I argued with the universe "This was my moment! Why take it away from me?" I packed on the kgs with the comfort food my mother was happy to supply and indulged my Dunhill addiction to the fullest while the universe whispered back " It wasn't your moment, You are not understanding the lesson"
It took me more than 3 months to figure out that:
