I’ve been intuitive for a long time – longer than I think I care to remember. I think I just didn’t have the
maturity to understand it and more importantly, use it and acknowledge it when the signs popped up.
We all have intuition. We all have a 6th sense. That feeling in your stomach when you know something is
either right or wrong. When we choose to ignore it, well we all know how that turns out. Either we get our
mother’s /friends saying “I told you so” or we hear ourselves saying “I knew it”.
We all have the ability to “see” inside ourselves. We all the ability to connect with our partners, family and
friends. Feel their pain, happiness, frustration & joy. The question is how often do we choose to connect.
More often than not, how often do we just switch it off.
I stopped for petrol and our Edgemead BP this morning and Nicolas walked over to my car. “Fill her up with
unleaded, check the oil and water, and 2.2. on the tyres please” I said with a car-foondie expression that
my husband would be proud of. Nicolas heaved a big sigh, didn’t answer me and went off to do his job. At
first, I thought, “How rude!” When he came back to get my garage card, he stomped his foot and grunted
when he realized that he had the wrong card machine. Something inside me switched on. “Are you ok?” I
asked.
Nicolas shook his head, slumped his shoulders and said, “No I’m not, stuff at home.” He looked like he was
about to burst into tears. I signed my slip and a voice said (my voice, I think) “You need to pray about it.
Everything will be ok”. He looked at me and walked away.
As I was putting my wallet back into my bag and getting ready to leave, Nicolas raced back to my car smiling
and gushing “Thank you so much for that! You have given me wings!’’ We shared a chuckle, while he bounced
off to the cashier counter while I drove off to work.
My immediate feeling was “My work here is done”.
We don’t have to run off to join a convent or Ashram to be of service to others. We can just be ourselves and be “open” to hear, see and feel the needs of others. It doesn’t need to take a financial handout; it doesn’t need to be a public display. We can all love and show love in our own unique way.

One lucky guest and her friend will walk away on the 9th of August with THE FAB PRIZE the prize of joining Oelzah at her belly-dancing class starting 1st Saturday in September worth over R500! So grab a friend and make sure you are at the Women in Spirit Brunch. You gotta be inittowinit!!!
I popped off a few important questions to Oelzah about herself and here’s what she had to say:
When I grew up I wanted to be a ..........Drama Teacher
How my path to bellydancing occured.........I was researching ways to strengthen my core for giving birth and then fell totally and utterly in love, life has a funny way of showing you your destiny :-) I have been dancing for 8 Years now and own A Dancer's Dream Belly Dance Studio, living my dream...
You might not guess but I'm very good at............Playing a Pool...
On the other hand I'm rubbish at................Multitasking, I think I might be the only women in the world who isn't good at this :-)
My dance-studio mission is to................... Live, laugh and learn through belly dance.
At night I dream of...................................Traveling and visiting ancient and exotic places.
The person who really makes me laugh is..........................My husband James makes me laugh all the time, we find the silliest things funny...deep down we are just such kids at heart!
I live with........................ the joy that comes from finding your passion and the fear that life will be too short for all the dreams I want to make a reality.
My 5 year plan is...............................1: Grow my dance school so more women can feel the joy and freedom I feel when I dance. 2. Complete a Masters in Leadership Development. 3. Finally have the baby that inspired me to learn belly dance.
last time I cried was............... last week and was called my "poor Panda" by my my husband when my mascara ran...see how he makes laugh!
Don't Miss Oelzah & other incredible women at the next Women in Spirit Brunch 09 August!!
